| Lefty Lamb Leads Pittsburgh to 3-1 Win | Stanley Lamb, who finished 4th in the IA in wins with 35 in 1884, was terrific for the Pittsburgh Vulcans in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Chicago Cyclones. His performance earned Lamb rave reviews. With the win, the Vulcans sit at 19-15.
Lamb, who dominated for Pittsburgh, earned the victory to move to 9-7. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 3. Chicago batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"I always intend to finish what I've started," said Lamb.
