The Pittsburgh Vulcans marched over the New York Barons, 12-4, at Columbia Field. Jerry Clay, who is tied for 5th in the FL in total bases with 71, led the charge. He was 3-6 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The Vulcans raised their record to 11-18.

The Vulcans got a big hit from second baseman John Clark. Facing New York pitcher Jack McKinley in the top of the fifth, Clark pounded a 2-run double to center. His 1st double of the season put the Vulcans ahead, 7-2.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Clark.
