Charlie Vanmeter was a vital contributor to the 10-7 New York victory over Milwaukee. The Barons center fielder was 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. New York pitcher Doug Crockett got the win. He's now 41-21. Sam Barnhill was tagged with the loss. With the win, New York raised its record to 66-50.

With New York leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Vanmeter hit a fastball from Sam Barnhill for a 2-run triple. It was his 9th triple of the season and put the Barons ahead, 3-0.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Vanmeter told the New York Times.
