| Sturgeons Lose, 6-1, at Garrison Grounds | Detroit had no answer for Chicago Cyclones hurler Jim Lucier, who overwhelmed Sturgeons hitters as the Cyclones coasted to victory, 6-1. With the win, Chicago pushed its record to 25-10.
The Cyclones got a gift in the bottom of the sixth inning, when they were leading 2-1. With two out and the bases loaded, Jim Lucier reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. It made the score 3-1, Chicago.
