Prairie Dogs Outlast Clippers, 11-10
The Cleveland Clippers and Kansas City Prairie Dogs provided some drama for the home crowd.

Jim Scott was a major contributor to the 11-10 Kansas City win over Cleveland. The Prairie Dogs first baseman went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Marty Birch got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Kansas City right fielder John Reding contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 12th hit of the season and put the Prairie Dogs ahead, 2-0.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Prairie Dogs manager . "This one was nice to get."

The Clippers, at 4-10, have stumbled out of the gate.
