With 12-7 Win, Monarchs Improve to 12-11
The Cincinnati Monarchs trumped the Boston Brahmins, 12-7, at Queen City Grounds II. Cincinnati third baseman Will Bowling was terrific. He was 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The loss drops Boston to 6-12.

Ty Vanlandingham had a big bases-clearing double for the Monarchs in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Cincinnati leading 7-6 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher John Killion and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Monarchs ahead, 10-6.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager said.
