Dupray Sizzles, Chicago Fizzles | Alphonse Dupray kept the Chicago Zephyrs hitters from doing much damage at West Side Oval.
Chicago could only muster 4 hits and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Dupray, who controlled them throughout the game. New York won the contest, 9-0. Dupray added 1 strikeout in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Dupray told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
