| Down Goes Washington, 8-4, to Pittsburgh | The rain came, as predicted, but the Pittsburgh Vulcans and Washington Federals were able to complete their ballgame.
Pittsburgh right fielder Jasper Kent was instrumental in helping the Vulcans triumph, 8-4, over the Washington Federals. Kent was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Federals have now dropped 5 straight.
Joe August contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. His at-bat helped Pittsburgh get the win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Kent said.
