| Vulcans Stick Cyclones with 5-4 Loss | The Pittsburgh Vulcans knocked off the Chicago Cyclones, 5-4, in Federal League action at Vulcan Grounds. Pittsburgh pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Stanley Lamb had an outstanding performance. The win boosted Pittsburgh to 32-27.
Jasper Kent was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Pittsburgh. The 27-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a 2-run single off Victor Anderson. It was his 58th hit of the season.
Pittsburgh manager called it "a pretty good win."
