| Pilots Edge Past Provincials, 5-4 | The St. Louis Pilots finished things off in style.
The St. Louis Pilots defeated the Toronto Provincials, 5-4. Third Baseman Travis Krupp deserved a large share of the credit. Krupp went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks for the Pilots. Will James picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 13 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 7-3.
The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out, Krupp hit a run-scoring single. It gave St. Louis the 5-4 walk-off win.
"This place sure got loud," said , the St. Louis manager.
With their 15th win of the season, the Pilots have high hopes for earning their 4th Round 1 trophy.
