The Montreal Tigers picked up a win at Brahmins Grounds, dropping the Boston Brahmins, 9-5, in 13 innings. Jack Kerwin, who is tied for 6th in the IA with a 1.02 WHIP, was the difference-maker. Kerwin yielded 5 runs over 13 innings to notch the win. He scattered 12 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-0. The win takes Montreal to 14-8.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Clipper Smith came to bat in the top of the 13th. Facing Boston pitcher Roy Kane, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Montreal on top, 6-5.
