Tigers Trip Brahmins, 9-5, in Extra Innings
The Montreal Tigers picked up a win at Brahmins Grounds, dropping the Boston Brahmins, 9-5, in 13 innings. Jack Kerwin, who is tied for 6th in the IA with a 1.02 WHIP, was the difference-maker. Kerwin yielded 5 runs over 13 innings to notch the win. He scattered 12 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-0. The win takes Montreal to 14-8.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Clipper Smith came to bat in the top of the 13th. Facing Boston pitcher Roy Kane, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Montreal on top, 6-5.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Smith. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
