| Burbank Twirls 1-0 Shutout | Doc Burbank was in a mood to talk following the Indianapolis Westerners contest against the Detroit Sturgeons, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Sturgeons, 1-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Burbank said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Detroit on a 4-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 5 strikeouts.
This year, Burbank has a 13-14 record with a 2.72 ERA in 27 starts. | | | | |
