The Chicago Cyclones outlasted the Washington Federals, 9-7, in 12 innings. Herbert Davis led the way, going 3-for-6 for Chicago. The win went to Tom Davidson in relief, making him now 3-1. George Edwards took the loss for Washington. Roger Strickland, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities.

John Bohanan drove in one run against the Federals. With the game tied in the top of the 12th inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Chicago in front, 8-7.

With the win over Washington, the Cyclones improved to 47-24.
