Montgomery Reaches 1000
What a day for Isaac Montgomery. The 26-year-old Toronto center fielder reached the 1000-hit mark today and the Provincials whipped the Kansas City Prairie Dogs 7-3.

Montgomery told reporters, "It's good to finally get it. The closer you get to 1000, the harder it is to get there. Now the pressure is off and I can go back to just playing ball."

He went 2 for 5 in the game to reach the milestone.

Lifetime Montgomery is hitting .346 with 1000 hits, 24 home runs, 516 runs scored and 509 RBIs.
