Milwaukee Pockets 8-6 Win Over New York
The Milwaukee Creams trumped the New York Columbians, 8-6, at Cream City Grounds. Milwaukee second baseman John McDevitt was terrific. He was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Milwaukee now has a record of 5-4.

Byron Eggleston had a big bases-clearing double for the Creams in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Tom Ewart, who leads the FL in strikeouts with 26, and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Creams ahead, 5-0.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said New York manager .
