In Extras, Cyclones Beat Federals
Chicago picked up a win at Garrison Grounds, bumping off the Washington Federals, 5-4. Pitcher Victor Anderson was a major reason the Cyclones emerged victorious. The Cyclones saw their record improve to 55-31.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Chicago. That's when Bill Avery hit a run-scoring double off 33-year old left-handed pitcher Norm Schmitt to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager , "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
