Colts Lose, 7-6, as Cyclones Rally
The Chicago Cyclones withstood an impressive performance by Louisville center fielder Victor Glaspie to defeat the Colts, 7-6, at Garrison Grounds. Glaspie was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Ben Brownfield, the winner, goes to 12-15. He allowed 6 runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 1 strikeout over 9 innings. The win makes Chicago 43-32.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 25-year old left fielder Steve Ferguson had a real shot to win the game. Louisville pitcher Woody Ross was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Ferguson hit a run-scoring single. The Cyclones had a walk-off triumph.

"This place sure got loud," said , the Chicago manager.
