Skidding Colts Lose 8th Straight
The New York Columbians and Louisville Colts played an exciting game.

New York parlayed a decent outing from starter Tom Ewart into a solid win over the Louisville Colts. The final score was 4-3. Ewart, who is tied for 2nd in the FL in quality starts with 30, went the distance for New York. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits.

Had Brick Cornwall not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Cornwall hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Columbians.
