Clippers Net 8-6 Win Over Monarchs
David Bodine helped his team muscle past the Cincinnati Monarchs, 8-6. In the game, the Cleveland shortstop went 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The triumph makes Cleveland 13-34.

The Monarchs had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Clippers going into the top of the ninth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old right-handed pitcher Eddie Montague came to the plate. Montague hit a bases-clearing double on a 2-0 fastball from Cincinnati hurler Ashton Slake. It was Montague's 4th double of the year.

Clippers manager wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
