The St. Louis Pilots cruised to a win over the Cleveland Clippers, 12-4, at Lakefront Park. Jasper Hines led the way, going 3-for-4 for St. Louis. Zebulon Eldridge, credited with the win, is now 21-6. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 9 innings. The Pilots have a winning streak of 7 games.

With St. Louis leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Hines hit a 2-run single off Cleveland hurler Paul Jackson. It was the 67th hit of the season for Hines and put his team ahead, 3-0.
