The Boston Brahmins topped the Toronto Provincials by a score of 8-6. Leading the way was first baseman Pete Applegate. Applegate was 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Brahmins. With the win over Toronto, the Brahmins improved to 23-41.

With Boston leading 3-0 in the top of the third, Applegate hit a fastball from Fred Brody for a 2-run triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Brahmins ahead, 5-0.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Applegate. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
