Baltimore pitcher Bill Silvers did his part in helping his team defeat the St. Louis Pilots, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Baltimore is now 33-32.

With two out in the top of the seventh, Hugh Brigand had a game-changing hit. The Bannermen left fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Will James, making the score 4-2, Baltimore.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Brigand.
