Shiffing 4-for-5 in Cleveland Win
The Cleveland Clippers and Toronto Provincials lit up the scoreboard.

The Cleveland Clippers defeated the Toronto Provincials, 15-8, in part because of center fielder Nathan Shiffing. Shiffing was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 5 runs and drove in 3 for the Clippers. Harold Williams earned his 1st save in 1 chances.

In the top of the sixth, Shiffing put his team in front with his 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which came against Glen Nalley, made it 7-5, Cleveland.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Shiffing told the Cleveland Bulletin. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."

Cleveland is now 27-59, Toronto 52-38.
