Had Rich Spencer not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Spencer hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Bannermen.

Toronto manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
