Pilots 3-2 Losers to Indianapolis | In a low-scoring clash between Indianapolis and St. Louis, pitcher Charlie James was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Stars win. The 7th-place Stars now sit at 33-47.
Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Ed Shaw to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Stars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Indianapolis manager . | | | | |
