The Baltimore Bannermen picked up a win at Banner Field, knocking off the Toronto Provincials, 6-4. Starting pitcher Hugh Brigand was a big reason why. Brigand got the win, improving to 18-13. He gave up 8 hits and walked 5 over 9 innings. He allowed 4 runs. The 5th-place Bannermen are 40-37.

Baltimore took a 4-2 lead on Allen Aiken's 5th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Aiken hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Toronto pitcher Henry Clancy visibly frustrated.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Aiken. "And not try to do too much."
