Montgomery Helps Provincials Defeat Tigers, 8-6
The Toronto Provincials defeated the Montreal Tigers, 8-6, in part because of center fielder Isaac Montgomery. Montgomery went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Provincials. The triumph puts Toronto at 43-35 for the season.

Toronto took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 6-6, when Doc McGuire hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Provincials in front, 8-6.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Toronto manager .
