The St. Louis Pilots had no problem beating the Cincinnati Monarchs, 16-3, at Fuchs Park. John Tennison, who is tied for 3rd in the IA with a .411 on-base percentage, led the onslaught. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 6 for St. Louis. St. Louis is now 80-26, 12½ games up in the International Association.

Tennison contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for St. Louis in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Tennison took a sinker from Ashton Slake and stroked the home run to left. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Pilots to leap in front, 4-2.
