The Boston Brahmins picked up a win at Brahmins Grounds, taking down the Cincinnati Dutchmen, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Will James. He played a central role in the triumph. The winner was Boston reliever Jim Decoteau, now 1-0. The loser was Franklin Fuller. The Brahmins, now 6-0, have been playing some good baseball.

The Brahmins got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Dave Dye. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Brahmins.
