Pioneers Send Baltimore Home with 6-2 Loss
Boosted by the 3-hit performance of John Babbitt the St. Louis Pioneers defeated the Baltimore Cannons, 6-2. The Pioneers, now 5-2, have been playing some good baseball.

Sam Day helped out the St. Louis cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 3-5 with 3 singles.

St. Louis manager commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
