Cannons Rally Late to Clip Philadelphia
In a tight tilt between the Baltimore Cannons and the Philadelphia Bells, Ken Burns was the deciding factor. The Baltimore right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The Bells fall to 4-7 and continue their sputtering start to the 1884 season.

Baltimore relied on the bat of Harry Ransom to get the win. The catcher ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cannons ahead, 3-2. For the game, Ransom had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Burns said.
