Late Rally by Cannons Locks Up 6-4 Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the St. Louis Pioneers and Baltimore Cannons get after it.

Baltimore starter Ken Burns pitched well against the St. Louis Pioneers at Ordnance Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-4. In 9 innings, Burns surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 4 runs.

Baltimore took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Charlie Keffer hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Cannons in front, 6-4.

In postgame comments to the Baltimore News, Keffer said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
