Benny Neville led the Des Moines Pioneers to a shutout victory, 2-0, over the Toledo Mudcats at Ironhook Grounds.

"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Neville recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

Neville yielded 3 hits and had 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in the standout performance.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Toledo manager Gustavo Rodriguez said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."

To this point in the season Neville has 10 wins and 6 losses and a 4.07 ERA.
