Starting pitcher Fred Brody was a major factor, holding his opponents in check all game. The winning pitcher was Brody, now 3-0. He tossed 14 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Baltimore is now 4-3.
The Provincials got a clutch hit from first baseman Chicken Smothers. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Provincials.
