The Washington Columbians got a stellar effort from pitcher John Kershaw, helping Washington score a win over the visiting Boston Brahmins, 3-2, in 12 innings. The Columbians improved to 18-33.

The Columbians got a clutch hit from first baseman Jim Lacasse. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Columbians.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Lacasse.
