| Chicago Beats Boston in Extra Innings | The Chicago Catamounts earned a close win over the Boston Brahmins, thanks in part to Albie Scott. The Chicago right-hander, who is on pace for 543 strikeouts this season, played a key role in the 13-inning, 2-1 victory. Scott yielded 1 run over 13 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 17. His record improves to 21-11. The win elevated the Catamounts to 37-17.
The Catamounts relied on second baseman Tom Litchfield for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
