Henry Spins Shutout Against Pilots

Montreal pitcher Joe Henry put on a show and walked away with a shutout victory, 7-0, over the St. Louis Pilots, throttling them on 5 hits. He cruised through the Pilots lineup, fanning 2 and walking 0 in a strong outing.

"He was very efficient and he hit his spots," Tigers manager said after the game. "He stayed down in the zone and stayed away from the middle of the plate."

Checking out his stats for the season, Henry has registered 27 wins and 13 losses in 40 starts, posted a 2.15 ERA, and struck out 185 batters in 359.2 innings.
