| Provincials Blank Cleveland, Clancy Winner Thursday, April 28th , 1887 Henry Clancy really had his stuff working at Garrison Common Grounds. The Toronto Provincials hurler mystified the Cleveland Clippers, shutting them out, 7-0. Clancy allowed a total of 5 hits in the ballgame and struck out 1.
"The shutout is nice, but I'm just happy we won," Clancy said with a smile after the game. "Coach can be a real bear when we lose."
