| Malley Struts Stuff in Win Over Indianapolis Saturday, September 3rd , 1887 Jack Malley handcuffed the Indianapolis Westerners at Girard Grounds II, coming away with a 5-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Philadelphia Unions left-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, Malley had little trouble with the Westerners and led the Unions to victory, 3-0. He recorded no strikeouts and 2 walks in an impressive performance.
This year, Malley has compiled a 19-23 record with a 3.91 ERA in 44 starts.
