| Langford Gets 3-0 Shutout Saturday, September 3rd , 1887 Washington Federals pitcher Ronald Langford blanked the Louisville Colts, 3-0, at Derby Grounds, tossing a 4-hitter while issuing 4 walks and collecting 3 strikeouts.
After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club.
"I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Langford said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today."
Thus far this season, Langford has posted a 15-27 record, started 44 games, struck out 170 batters in 366 innings and compiled a 3.84 ERA.
