Arwood Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle

New York Barons right fielder Virgil Arwood had one of the best days of his career, when he hit for the cycle and paved the way for the 9-8 Barons win over the Louisville Colts at Columbia Field.

"Everything was just clicking today," he said.

Arwood shelled the Colts for 4 hits in 5 at-bats, collected 1 run batted in and scored 2 runs.

Virgil Arwood tripled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ed Lane in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

For the season, Arwood has hit .350 with 6 home runs and 81 RBIs. He has played in 121 games and scored 96 times.
