 | Hickories Shut Out Sycamores, Scott Winner Tuesday, September 4th , 1888 In a seemingly effortless performance, Albie Scott of the Nashville Hickories shot down the Savannah Sycamores, 6-0, on 4 hits. "Albie was just locating so well and using his pitches," Nashville manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Scott recorded 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Savannah manager said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
