 | Hits Galore: Lasky Drills 5 Hits Saturday, August 22nd , 1896 Bob Lasky had an answer for everything the Montgomery Moccasins threw at him at Riverbend Park. The Atlanta catcher went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Firebirds a win, 19-6. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Lasky said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Bob Lasky grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
