 | Gosnell Runs Hit String to 25 Straight Games Wednesday, September 2nd , 1896 Milton Gosnell, catcher for the San Antonio Vaqueros, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 3 hits in his club's 15-6 victory over the Galveston Gulls at Gulfview Field. "Not the outcome we wanted," Galveston manager said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Milton Gosnell doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
