25-Game Hitting Streak for Peterson

Joe Peterson has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 28-year-old Austin Stars second baseman extended his streak to 25 games, going 4-for-7 as Austin got the best of the Sherman Generals at Republic Park, 17-4.

"Joe has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Stars manager said.
Joe Peterson grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.

This season, Peterson is batting .417 with 7 home runs. His totals include 101 RBIs and 121 runs scored.
