 | Gosnell Has 31-Game Hitting Streak Thursday, September 10th , 1896 Milton Gosnell continued his streak at Chisholm Grounds, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The San Antonio catcher was 1-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 31 games. The Vaqueros were not as fortunate, losing, 7-6, to the Waco Drummers. "Gosnell was hitting everything we threw at him," said Waco manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Milton Gosnell flied out in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. At present, Gosnell is batting .410 with 196 hits and no home runs.
