Hobbs Strokes 5 Hits
It was a sensational day at the plate for Sam Hobbs as he led the charge to a nifty 23-6 win over the Moccasins. The New Orleans third baseman was pure misery for the Montgomery pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"Hobbs put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Cory Southwick, manager for the Moccasins, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Sam Hobbs singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a three-run triple in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

So far this year, Hobbs is batting .382 with 3 home runs and 60 RBIs.
