Cincinnati Tacks 4-3 Loss on Toronto
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Cincinnati Monarchs and Toronto Provincials.

Cincinnati Monarchs starter Kenneth Ranson pitched a strong game against the Toronto Provincials at Queen City Grounds II, leading the Monarchs to victory, 4-3. The Monarchs now own a record of 63-66.

Ed Ford was 2-2 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs for Cincinnati. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ford, who is on pace for 88 RBI this season, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Toronto hurler Henry Clancy, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Monarchs a 4-3 lead.

"Time to decompress after a tough win," said Ranson.
