| Crane Socks 2 Homers in 5-1 Win | Napoleon Crane, who led the FL in home runs with 8 in 1881, knocked in 4 runs to help the Detroit Sturgeons win, 5-1, over the Washington Federals. The third-place Sturgeons go to 65-37.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Sam Booth put Detroit in front, 2-1, with a run-scoring single. The Sturgeons went on to win the ballgame.
