| Pilots Rack Up 8-4 Win Versus Boston | The St. Louis Pilots topped the Boston Brahmins, 8-4, in International Association action at Fuchs Park. The standout performance belonged to St. Louis pitcher and Lonaconing, Maryland, native Bulldog Ayers. Ayers got the win, improving to 28-13. He gave up 8 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. He allowed 4 runs. With the victory, the Pilots upped their record to 83-47.
Early in the game, left fielder John Tennison had a 2-run triple for St. Louis. It was his 11th triple of the season and put the Pilots on top, 2-0.
