| Bannermen Trip Provincials, 3-2 | Baltimore picked up a win at Garrison Common Grounds, bumping off the Toronto Provincials, 3-2. Pitcher Bob Keyes was a major reason the Bannermen emerged victorious. The second-place Bannermen have a record of 56-26.
Keyes contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Baltimore in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Keyes took a curveball from Henry Clancy and stroked the double to left. His 1st double of the season allowed the Bannermen to leap in front, 2-1.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Keyes told the Baltimore Today. | | | | |
