The Baltimore Bannermen soundly defeated the Indianapolis Stars, 22-4, at State Fair Grounds, with left fielder Curt Johnston a major reason why. He went 4 for 6 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 5 for Baltimore. Bob Keyes got the win, improving to 23-11. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2.
