| Provincials Lose Versus Baltimore, 10-6 | Jackrabbit Hoppe, who is tied for 2nd in the IA with a .373 on-base percentage, led Baltimore to a win over Toronto. The final score was 10-6. Hoppe scored 2 times, while going 4 for 5. The first baseman also was credited with 2 runs batted in. Dennis Durr, the winning pitcher, improved to 35-23. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 8 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 3. Baltimore now has a record of 70-38 with the win.
The Bannermen got an important contribution from second baseman Israel Thompson, who in the bottom of the third hit a fastball to left for a run-scoring double. It was his 21st double of the season and put the Bannermen ahead, 2-0.
